Un nuovo riconoscimento internazionale valorizza l'edizione 2023 della gara, quest'anno certificata IAU Bronze Level.
Il sistema di certificazione IAU, introdotto nel 2008, ha i compito di garantire che le manifestazioni vengano effettuate secondo alcuni precisi standard quali ad esempio:
- che il percorso di gara sia misurato per conformarsi ai regolamenti WA, e questo è particolarmente importante quando si corre una World o Continental Best Performance. È l'unico modo per confrontare le prestazioni.
- che la gara sia riconosciuta dalla propria Federazione Nazionale di Atletica Leggera, per avvicinare l'"ultrarunning" alle Federazioni Nazionali.
Solo le prestazioni nelle gare etichettate IAU saranno riconosciute ufficialmente dall'IAU e questo è importante non solo per le possibili "Best performances", ma anche per i calcoli dei Travel Grants che vengono distribuiti in occasione delle Grandi Competizioni IAU.
A new international recognition enhances the 2023 edition of the race, this year IAU Bronze Level certified.
The IAU certification system, introduced in 2008, has the task of ensuring that the events are carried out according to some specific standards such as:
- that the race course is measured to comply with WA regulations, and this is especially important when racing a World or Continental Best Performance. It's the only way to compare performance.
- that the race is recognized by its National Athletics Federation, to bring "ultrarunning" closer to the National Federations.
Only performances in IAU labeled competitions will be officially recognized by the IAU and this is important not only for the possible "Best performances", but also for the calculations of the Travel Grants that are distributed on the occasion of the Great IAU Competitions.
